Shoot the Moon, C-print on metallic paper with antique glass
and bullet hole, 2013.
I used to play the game hearts,
back in the 1990s on Microsoft Windows v3.1
against three computer opponents on a 386 IBM.
I tried to shoot the moon all the time.
Normally it backfired. But every once in a while,
when the stars seemed to be aligned,
it worked out, the payoff was huge:
twenty-six points for each of my opponents.
Once, I did it four times in a row.
